#but this gesture#THIS GESTURE#it’s their most frequent touch#or at least hers#this gesture shows how much he is her anchor#but also it is to remind him that she is his anchor too#it’s a reminder that she’s there for him#and for her to check if he’s still there and okay#it is their gesture#but this is the gesture of fitzsimmons as partners#as best friends#a gesture they got accustomed to before they got into the bus (i assume)#and at the end#even if for him it is goodbye#that he accepted his death#she’s holding on#with her hand on his shoulder always her anchor#and she has no intent to let go of her anchor#the person that’s been beside her the whole damn time#without a fight#and she saves his life#she gets him out of the water with her because that gesture is also the connection and reminder#that they’re individuals but also a whole
